Original instrumental tune composed & performed by Kitty Allen on pedal harp, chromatic harmonica, toothbrush (applied to harp), wine bottles (4 - tuned), laptop, midi-keyboard, & flute.
This tune evolved from a visit to unofficially named "Graffiti Street" in Ghent, Belgium. Actually called the Werregarenstraatje, it is one of many sanctioned artistic expressive areas in this creative city. All over you find walls, gateways, and cobblestones covered in colors, paintings, & poetry. Some works are tags and others are true artistic pieces that invite you to stop, look, & appreciate. Given the popularity of the area to visitors & artists, what is visible one week may likely be covered and replaced by the following week.
