Inspired by a recent winter respite to Miami, Florida's South Beach. While the beach & ocean proved reliably relaxing, therapeutic, & eclectic, the hotel's poolside courtyard offered unexpected overhead entertainment. In addition to the occasional passing pelican, the courtyard palm trees were home to clusters of monk parakeets. These fluorescent green inhabitants regularly serenaded guests throughout each day while flying overhead in groups to deposit twigs & other miscellaneous building materials into their apartment-like nests.
