Black Cat Gray Squirrel
A limerick and that's all.
Enjoy!
On a pleasant November afternoon, these two beauties were caught posing on a stump strategically placed within Gramercy Park in downtown Manhattan. While the black cat (being inanimate) could not move, the other (gray squirrel) most certainly could, but chose not to, posing patiently for several minutes. Definitely deserving a peanut.

Tree Amputee
A very large, old and quite contorted European beech tree spotted in the Boston Public Garden during a recent visit to downtown Boston. Having survived a drastic surgical procedure, this grande dame appears to be missing half of her trunk. Nevertheless, she flourishes, still providing shade, foliage and beauty within the first botanical garden in the United States.

My Heart's in the Highlands
A poem by Robert Burns - Scotland's national poet
My heart is in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart is in the Highlands a-chasing the deer,
A-chasing the wild deer and following the roe -
My heart is in the Highlands, wherever I go!
Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
The birthplace of valor, the country of worth!
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
Farewell to the mountains high covered with snow,
Farewell to the broad valleys and green valleys below,
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods,
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods!

A Yacht Scott Is Not
Here floats a red tugboat named Scott.
Who prides himself hot as a yacht.
But his crew men act crass,
Big brutes filled with sass.
A yacht Scott most surely is not.
Quiver Liver in River
Here swam a fine tugboat called Quiver.
Who shoved a large barge up the river.
But his dignity fell,
From the pungent bad smell.
Of cargo containing raw liver.
